Bienvenido a Valle de Angeles

From the heat to the fresco or to where the climate is a little better. Im now assigned in the area Santa Maria which is in the zone Valle de Angeles. Its pretty cool because i just went from the biggest zones in the mission to now one of the smallest. And to from one of the hottest places in the mission to know one of the coolest areas in the mission its a little wierd but its cool i like it here. My new companion is called Elder Rasmussen me and him are the zone leaders here in the zone valle de angeles then there is the district leader and his companion and then 3 areas and companionships of hermanas. Its a little wierd because were out numbered. But no its a great zone and missionaries i like it here alot.

On monday i knew all the changes and where i was going but i just kindof decided to save it all for this week and kindof of give you the run down of that. So Elder rasmussen is a cool elder gringo from utah like the majority. The only thing is that he has almost 23 months. Yes this is his last change. So it should be fun. Its a little difficult to kill a missionary as they say but its cool i dont mind.  So on monday after a normall p-day last week then tuesday was just full of packing and saying bye to everyone thats always sad but its something you just got to do.

Then Wensday morning we got up at five and i gave my kid a hug the one i trained haha and said well good luck stay strong and maybe ill see you again soon. Because i was going to the city if i spend 7 months here then he stays in the south i might never see him again. So with another elder who was finsihing the mission and spent the night with us elder lozano who was my companion in the office me and him got up at 5am then got ready then headed to the road to get on the bus to the city. We made it there on a bus with a bunch of other missionarys and there bags and had all the changes and everything found our new companions then headed out to our new areas.

This group that went home i have to say is probably after 17 months that kindof hit me hard alot of missionarys ive know since i got to the mission a few companions and stuff so it kindof sucked. But thats just the way it happens sometime inside i was happy for them they all finished strong. Anyways so my area is right before you go up this mountain to someother little towns. Im in one of the 5 zones in the city buy like on the out skirts but i can get to the middle centro of tegucigalpa in like 20 mins in bus or taxi so thats kindof nice.

The area is good i like it alot. The members are super nice and helping in all ways. The area as well as the church is small but its sufficent. SO this week weve been just getting to know the members and everything. The work here is a lot different. Like in the south everyone lets you in just about to share a message here not so much its more of slammed doors and people with lots of excuses. But for me i dont mind too much because it really helps me find the people who are truely interested.

Anyways thats about it just getting adapted to a new area new companion and a new zone. It nice though i went from area that was like 100 and something daily to know where its like high 80s or low 90s so ill take it. Well sorry this week no picture but next week i got you guys a pic with my new companion and everything. Thank you guys for everything I love and miss you all. Have a great week and ill talk to you guys again next monday!

Diecisiete Meses Hoy!

Well this has been a good week i cant complain. Really this week we just focused on the two baptisms that we had planed to make sure that everything was going to be ready. The two people we had planned to get baptized were Guadalupe and Omar. Two completly different stories but very awesome experiences for me.

To start off with Guadalupe i remember like it was yesterday my first day in the area two changes ago three months ago contacting her in front of a members house and she said yeah you guys can come and visit me. Almost all her family is members her parents all four of her children just her and her husband not. So the first change we worked with them very hard but nothing then the second change we started involving members and everything started progressing very well. We knew after about a month we werent going to get far with the husband he just didnt want anything but the mom was always somewhat interested. The best thing and one awesome thing about the story in back on the 31st of december in 1999 she was married with her husband with the help of two missionarys and then the both of them got changes so they got disanimated and never got baptized.

With Omar me and my companion were just out contacting one day and we were actully going to walk by this one house then one lady said goodbye hermanos or brothers pretty much like goodbye elders. So we walked back ended up contacting them and it was a inactive family we set up a visit for the next day and went it was a saturday Then we found omar a 13 years old and he right away was really interested in the church and everything we to all the mutals with the youth and came two sundays just like you have to and just ended up progressing so fast and was just ready to be baptized!

As you can see above everything went well. It wasent easy but its always worth it. I just helps to see there is always people who are ready some may be ready in 15 days like omar others just take a little more time like hermana guadalupe. I know this work is true i love it and theres nothing id rather be doing in this time right now.

Today its offical i hit 17 months. Im starting to feel it little by little rolling down to a end. But im not done yet its still going. This week theres changes. Lets just say my time in Iztoca is over it was a good time and crazy to have been able to have to oppertunity to return to one of my old wards. Also for the oppertunity to train a new missionary was fun my son elder ramirez hes a great guy. P-day was nice and chill we didnt do much just kindof relaxed.

Anyways ill inform you all next week on where im going my new area my new calling and my companion it should be interesting. Anyways I love and miss you all have a great week thanks for everything you guys do for me. Have a great week and talk to you next Monday!

Creo que esta temblando!?

Well not sure where to start it was a pretty good week nice and calm nothing real new. To start i guess i can talk about the small earth quake that hit here it was kindof cool but also a little scary at the same time. I belive this was the first earth quake that i have ever felt before at least that i can remember. It was about 9:45 at night and me and elder lozano were just kindof laying there talking then all a suddon i felt this wierd shaking. I thought at first that elder salinas whos bed is behind me was just shaking my bed. Then my companion who was on the other side of the room said its a earth quake. We then jumped up and ran to the door then elder salinas was asleep but it woke him up and he was kindof spooked. To me it scared me just for the fact i dont have much trust in the honduren houses here. So we went outside but after that nothing else really. Suposivly a big one hit in nicaragua and then we just got the after shock but there wasent much damage or anything here. It was pretty cool if you ask me. But i dont want it to happen again haha.

From there i guess we can go to the other thing that we use to live 4 elders in our house and it was really fun we always were doing something fun between us four. But the fun came to a end that on friday they got a house in there own area which is las unidas this is the area that i was in about a year ago so its been a little wierd being just me and my companion in the house and everything this last few days.

Then this week its been raining a ton like everyday its so wierd that this big rain storm just comes out of no where. You can just see when it start to come its just like a huge black cloud with thunder and lighting. They say that this is the rain season im starting to belive it. There also talking alot about tropical storms coming and everything but who knows. I do remember them talking about the earth quake like 2 months ago and that it was going to come in june i guess maybe i should belive them.

Other then that me and my companion have been just having some awesome experiences finding new people. After the family we baptized its like we were at zero almost. But we just kept working and going and we had a older investagator just progress rapidly and then a new investagator named omar that the story of how we just ran into him and he lives with a inactive family that following sunday came to church and this last one and hes super involved with the young men its great. Anyways we have 2 baptisms planned so it should be awesome wish us luck hopefully all goes through good.

(Sorry No Pics this week)

Everything is going well. Its still hot here but every onces and a while we get a nice little break with clouds so no worries. I love and miss you all i hope you have a great week and well talk to you next monday!

Vamos a la Playa!

I have so sick of honduran computers ive been seriously messing with this computer for the last hour trying to get it to work. Anyways its good now i guess thats all that really matters. This week was good pretty much.

Its started off that monday night my companion threw up in the middle of the family home evening that we had. I felt bad for him but at the same time it was kindof funny he made it outside though so no worries there. Then when we got back to the house we live 4 in the same house one of the other elders was also sick. The only thing we could think of is there was a new burger king that opened up and us 4 ate there so maybe they got something bad. So Tuesday just me and the other elder that wasent sick went out and worked it went pretty well. Our companions just rested all day in the house.

Wensday was back to normal and everything. As well as the rest of the days of the week. Nothing too exciting. Its been raining here a ton everyday this week im pretty sure its rained. They say this is how the rain season is here and supposeivly it lasts till like November or something in not sure though. Truthfully I like it makes it so much cooler here or if anything the clouds give shade from the sun and thas always nice. The bad part is there is a ton of mosquitos. And thats probably a big part that there is no water system here really like 75 percent of the water just sits in the road or they make there own trenches but it doesnt work the water just sit there. Thats why theres so many mosquito sickness here 3 that are big and common. Called dengue chikinguna and zinca. Lucky i havent got one yet. But it puts you in bed for like a whole week you can barley walk they say some missionarys have got it or have it. But there hasent been many cases of it lately no worries!

Other then that me and my son as they call it have been doing good. It was fun training in the begining now its just like alot of work. But i like it most of the time. Im just happy i got a elder with a desire to learn and work so i cant really complain there. Then other then that just lots of rain and this p day was pretty good we went to the Beach.

Yes its like the 3rd time weve went in like 2 months but theres not much to do here. And we cant go swiming eaither so it isnt that good. But this beach we went to was alot better then normall because there was a lot of hammics and fish and srimp. The fish was good and big. Then the srimp were giant but here were so good and then a little of tajaditas there called just fried platanos or bananas and some sauce it was good. The beach is a little slanted but we still played football and soccer. It was raining a little but i like it.
(Elder Foster, Elder Gray, Elder Lozano and Elder Carter)

Other then that same ole same ole. Working hard and enjoying it all in the process. We found some new people this week and may have a few baptisims this month which is good. The attendence has been going up also in the ward which is awesome because it had been pretty low. Then the rest is all good. I would say nice and hot as always but like i said this week it has been nice with the clouds and rain. Well i miss you and love you all. I want to send a big birthday shout out to one of my best friends of all time. He knows who he is and i know he'll be reading this. Love you man. And love all you guys have a great week and i talk to you next monday!
